If you are on this site, I hope that means at least one thing - you've seen the dissolution occurring in what used to be a land of freedom, integrity, honor, and courage. Woman are beaten to death in front of witness due to a newly identified psychological phenomenon called "Diffusion of Responsibility." Police and court systems spend more time imprisoning violators of non-violent, "social" crimes and collecting fines for same than it does trying to catch murderers and rapists. Our military is used as the cats-paw of corrupt corporations (as a Former Marine, this really pisses me off). The intelligence and defense agencies which should protect and educate the populace now mislead, lie, and kill our fellow citizens. The list goes on...
All is not lost, I have a solution.
In 1762 Rousseau's theory on an implied social contract revolutionized the way people looked at governments. For his time and his society's technological prowess, it was a brilliant revelation that paved the way for the eventual founding of the United States of America, may she rest in peace. Now, an equally revolutionary idea must transform humanity's potential into reality - an explicit social contract.
I don't need the parasites in Washington, D.C. to tell me not to murder, rape, or steal; I govern myself. What we need is a society of individual's who each sign an explicit contract that defines the life, liberty, rights, and responsibilities of each citizen; each person would then be explicitly responsible for any action that breaks their contract. Such a society would never leave a woman alone to be beaten in front dozens of witnesses for each "witness" would be contractually obligated to protect the life, liberty, rights, and responsibilities of every other individual or be held accountable to the SAME DEGREE as the person who committed the crime. Of course, not everyone will agree to this... that's okay - not everyone deserves the responsibility of voting.
